Choose the right level of security for your environment
In a custodial or secure environment, choosing the right fixing is just as important as choosing the right product.
ALS Custodial offers security and tamper-resistant fasteners across five levels of security, allowing the fixing to be matched to the risk and application.
Removable or permanent
Where future maintenance or replacement is required, two-way security fasteners can be removed using the appropriate security tooling. For applications where removal should be prevented, one-way permanent fixings provide a higher level of protection against unauthorised removal.
Head types and drives
Button head sits proud of the surface, countersunk sits flush. Both are available as self tappers for timber and sheet materials, or as machine screws for threaded fixings. The 5-Lobe Pin drive is the more specialist of the two, with tooling that is harder to obtain.
Tooling to suit
Each drive needs the matching bit. Supply of the tooling is part of what makes these fixings secure, so the correct insert bit is listed alongside every size.
Upgrading from the standard fixing
Although many of our products are supplied with Level 1 security fixings, we recommend considering an upgrade to Level 2 or above for custodial and secure applications, depending on the environment and risk.
