Testing in house
Products manufactured by ALS are subject to a programme of measurable product testing through our sister company, Lig-Safe. Testing is designed to assess three key areas of performance:
- Ligature resistance — how the product behaves when load is applied
- Robustness — how it withstands sustained and deliberate misuse
- Fitness for purpose — whether it performs its intended function in the environment it is specified for
The aim is to give customers greater confidence in the products they specify, by combining specialist knowledge with measurable performance rather than unsupported claims.
On site testing and certification
For load release products already installed, we can provide a certificate and an annual audit and test, together with a report covering visual inspection of the whole system, load release data in kilograms, photographic evidence and a summary of key faults, inspection of the surrounding area for obstructions, and identification of any repair or replacement required.
